Sec.354-A,382, 147, and 148 of Pakistan Penal Code, 1860
What is Assault?
whoever makes any gesture, or any preparation intending or knowing it to be likely that such gesture or preparation will cause any person present to apprehend that he who makes that gesture or preparation is about to use criminal force to that person, is said to commit an Assault.
EXPLANATION:
Mere words do not amount to an assault. But the words which a person uses may give to his gestures or preparation such a meaning as may make those gestures or preparation amount to an assault. Sec.351
Section 354-A PPC
Assault or use of criminal force to woman and stripping her of her clothes:

Whoever assaults or uses criminal force on any woman and strips her of her clothes, in that condition, exposes her to public view.Punishment:
whoever commits such an offense shall be punished with death or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to a fine.
Scope:
This section applies only in those cases where after stripping of the cloth the lady is made naked and exposed to public view and is not applicable where a very small portion of the shirt is torn.
Meaning of Public view:
the condition regarding stripping a woman of her clothes is fulfilled when the clothes are completely removed making her naked.
If in this naked condition, she is exposed to public view, then the third condition is satisfied.
Offenses under section 354-A are attracted whenever somebody assaults or uses criminal force on any woman and strips her of her clothes and in that condition exposes her to public view.
Section 382 PPC
Theft after preparation is made causing death, hurt, or restraint in order to the committing of the theft.
Whoever commits theft, having made preparation for causing death, or hurt, or restraint, or fear of death, or of hurt, or of restraint, or to any person, in order to commit of such theft, or in order to the effecting of his escape after the committing of such theft.
Punishment:
Whoever commits an offense under section 382, shall be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
Section 146 PPC
Rioting:
whenever force or violence is used by an unlawful assembly, or by any member thereof, in the prosecution of the common object of such assembly, every member of such assembly is guilty of the offense of rioting.
Punishment for rioting under section 147 PPC:
whoever is guilty of rioting, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may be extended to two years, or with fine, or with both.
Section 149 PPC
Every member of unlawful assembly guilty of the offense committed in the prosecution of common object:
If an offense is committed by any member of an unlawful assembly in prosecution of the common object of that assembly, or such as the members of that assembly knew to be likely to be committed in the prosecution of that object, every person who, at the time of the committing of that offense, is a member of the same assembly, is guilty of that offense.
AYESHA AKRAM CASE
Important Information
Ayesha
Akram who is also a TikTok star, was at Minar-e-Pakistan, a national monument in Lahore, to film people
celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day.
A large group of men approached her to take selfies.
What happened next was chilling.
Footage showed the men began attacking her - allegedly tearing her clothes and
assaulting her.
She tried
to escape the men but was lifted from the ground and pelted with objects.
Ms.Ayesha Akram
said her ring and earrings were “forcibly taken”.
A mobile
phone, identity card, and cash were also allegedly stolen from one of her
companions.
Ms.Ayesha Akram has registered a case against 300 to 400 unidentified persons
with Lahore police under sections 354 A, 382, 147, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal
Code 1860.
