History:


Microsoft Windows was announced by Bill Gates on November 10, 1983. Microsoft introduced Windows as a graphical user interface for MS- DOS, which had been introduced two years earlier. The product line evolved in the 1990s from an operating environment into a fully complete, modern operating system over two lines of development, each with their own separate codebase.

Microsoft releases different versions and editions of its software products to cater to various user needs and requirements. Here are some commonly known Microsoft software products and their versions:

Windows Operating System:Windows 10

Microsoft Office Suite: Microsoft Office 365 (which includes various subscription plans)

Microsoft Office Suite:

Microsoft Office 2019: Released in 2018, Office 2019 is the standalone version of the Office suite that includes applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. It does not require a subscription and receives only security updates.
Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365): It is a subscription-based service that provides access to the latest versions of Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and others. Microsoft 365 offers additional cloud storage, collaboration features, and regular updates.
