What is NTN?
NTN stands for National Tax NumberIt is a unique ID issued by the Board of Revenue
A company or an association of persons are assigned an NTN or a registration number when they e-enroll on the FBR Iris portal
Iris:
According to Section 30(AC) Income tax ordinance 2001:Iris means a web based computer programme for operation and management of Inland Revenue taxes and laws administered by the Board
NTN created/ registered on CNIC number
According to Section. 181(4) Income tax ordinance 2001In case of individuals having computerized National Card (CNIC) issued by the National Database and Registration Authority, CNIC shall be used as National Tax Number

3. Active e-mail
4. Union Council Number

Procedure of NTN creation/ Registration in FBR
1. Open Google crome2. Type Iris
3. Click on Iris 2.0
4. Click on New registration
5. Fill for with the information
i. First name
ii. Last name
iii. Prefix
iv. Service ( Mobilink, Telenor etc.)
vii. Enter e-mail
viii. Fill captcha
ix. Submit
x. Enter code ( you received from SMS and e-mail)
xi. Submit
After adopting the following steps NTN will be created
